Difference between DX and EX kit

Well for Canadian models there's no difference except that one has VTEC (Y8;EX) and the other doesn't (Y7;DX). The kit should fit on both. But this is for Canadian models tho. I assume it's the same as the US models.

Thanks for the help. I know the motors are pretty much the same except for the heads. I just need to know if there are any subtle differences in the kits. I went over both instructions and it seems the only difference is that the DX has a sandwich adapter between the fuel rail and regulator. Is the only difference? JRCivic?

That is the only one I can think of... then again, I cannot recall ever installing a JRSC on a DX car before, so I hate to guess.

Have you compared the "Parts List" sheets from both kits to see if everything matches up ??? I wonder if the crank pulleys are the same...

Hehe...I guess you can say I made a mental parts list. I printed the instructions for both kits and %95 of the wording is identical, except for one or two extra instructions for EX. I also checked the part # for oem crank pulley and they are the same. Looks like I'll be ordering the adapter from JR. Thanks again

After 2 years and 26k miles with the JRSC on my '99 EX, I've decided to take it off. I'm going to be taking it off around next week and I have a potential buyer lined up. The problem is that he has a '96 DX. Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the kits for these two motors? I need to know before I take it off because I don't want to be doing it for nothing. Thanks
